With the ultimate goal of preserving and enhancing the quality of life for all its residents and visitors, the city is looking to attract a progressive and accomplished Water Resources Manager to ensure all aspects of water systems are maintained at the highest service levels.

Under the general supervision of the Director of Infrastructure and Sustainable Development, the Water Resource Manager is responsible for all components of the water supply system including watershed management, waste water management, storm water management, pumping stations, storage reservoirs and treatment plants. In addition, the position is responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting of statistical data, the management of the budget for water and waste water operations; the City's SCADA system, water rights and licenses, project management of capital upgrades, recruitment, supervision, performance evaluations of department staff, City policies and procedures affecting water use, resources and water conservation goals.

To qualify you will ideally have a degree in civil engineering or a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology coupled with three to five years in a supervisory or management role within a consulting and or municipal setting. Additionally you will have experience in water treatment plant operation, water distribution, waste water treatment, water and waste water operation and maintenance. EPOC certified, you have operations budgets experience with extensive knowledge of water rights, laws and regulations.
