Chief Executive Officer

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. (http://www.successbc.ca) has been providing immigrant settlement services to the Chinese community since 1973.  Since then, the organization has evolved into a multi-service agency offering services to a broader spectrum of new Canadians.  Today, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is recognized as one of British Columbia’s largest social service providers offering employment services, business and economic development services, training and education.  The organization has three registered charities, two limited liability social enterprises and through S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Multi-Level Care Society manages and operates an adult day care centre, two assisted living residences, and a multi-level care facility.

With the pending retirement of the current Chief Executive Officer, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is seeking a dynamic leader who is committed and passionate about the organization’s vision of multicultural harmony and has the business acumen and leadership skills to manage a $36 million budget, and 400 employees and 2,000 volunteers in over 20 locations including Fort St. John, Taipei, Taiwan, and Seoul, Korea.

Reporting to a 17 member Board, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic plan, financial sustainability and growth, building community awareness and support, identifying new sources of funding, and program development.  You are a charismatic senior leader of a major complex organization who is well respected within the business community, possesses strong advocacy skills, and are able to interact and influence at the political level.  Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese would be a definite asset, although not essential, along with an understanding of the business, economic, political, social and cultural climate of the Pacific Northwest.

This is a unique opportunity for a prominent individual to lead a high profile organization whose focus is to build bridges, embrace diversity, and foster integration of new Canadians.
